About
Andrew's interests are in Wind Engineering and Environmental Science. Before joining the University he spent over 10 years at the internationally recognised group based at the former Silsoe Research Institute. His experience covers a wide range of wind and environmental engineering with applications as diverse as extreme wind speed predictions for the rail industry to improving farm animal welfare through environmental control of ventilation. Current research includes the aerodynamics of debris flight, wind energy resource assessment, aerial environment pollution reduction with structured tree belts and train aerodynamic interactions with railway infrastructure.
