About
Having completed my Masters at the University of Silesia (Poland) with a thesis on comparative linguistics (Dialetto della Valtenna e italiano: due sistemi morfologici a confronto) in 2005, I started my PhD studies at the University of Birmingham in 2007.
I have based my research into neostandard Italian on the corpus of data created by the Italian sports press: La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport.
The focus of my project is morphosyntactic neostandard elements, such as the new status of the subjunctive mood, personal pronouns, the position of adjective in the phrase, and many other phenomena of today's Italian.
