I am currently working towards a PhD at the School of Education, University of Birmingham. I am being funded by the Economic and Social Research Council on the 1+3 studentship, and completed the Masters in Education Research Methods training in 2010.
The aim of my PhD research is to explore the views and experiences of home educated children and young people with regard to education, schooling and learning. My research touches on ideas of parental choice as well as on philosophy of education, as it raises questions about the role and nature of schools, education and learning.
