The report analyses the shareholders activism in a country where institutional investors dominate i.e. US and another country where institutional investors concedes i.e. Malaysia. The similarities between the countries are their ownership structure and substantial presence of institutional investors. However, the approach of handling investors between the countries is quiet different at the board room. The report ends up with some suggestions to both countries that would keep the investors base at a satisfactory level.
