About
My core specialism is the excavation, analysis and subsequent publication of waterlogged wood in the UK. I have worked in this capacity for many units and universities, including Oxford Archaeology, Cambridge Archaeological Unit, Museum of London Archaeology and the University of Birmingham.
My background in commercial field archaeology includes work for a variety of units in both East Anglia and London since 1998. I have also been fortunate enough to be involved with various research projects in South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Romania and the UK.
My research interests in the UK are focused around, although not restricted to, the Flag Fen Basin, Peterborough. I have been heavily involved in the research excavations there since 1997. This is the site that first sparked my interest in archaeology and has enabled me to develop expertise in ancient waterlogged wood.
