Thesis Title: Machine Learning in Process Mining

About

I am researching for a PhD in Computer Science, specifically in Process Mining.  In 2008-9 I  completed an MSc in "Advanced Computer Science".  Prior to that I worked in IT for several years, latterly in Unix and storage systems administration, focussing on data protection (backups), file transfers and management information systems.

Redundancy became a great opportunity to learn something new and explore an opportunity to do research, which I missed last time around.  So here I still am!

My main interests at the moment are all around the data->information->knowledge->'wisdom' lifecycle. Information extraction, storage and retrieval.  How to extract and act on useful information from (e.g.) complex logs.  How to prevent learning being lost, ... machine learning, learning theory, ...
