About
Dr Philippa Semper is lecturer in medieval English at the University of Birmingham, where she is also Director of Education for the School of English, Drama and American and Canadian Studies. She convenes the Graduate Medievalists' Research Seminar within the College of Arts and Law. Her research focuses upon Old English literature and text-image relationships; she is currently writing one book on Old English poetry and another on Anglo-Saxon manuscripts.
