About
I am currently studying my PhD at the University of Birmingham, about to enter my final year. I received my MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent in 2008, where I developed an academic interest in understanding sexual offending. My doctoral research involves investigating the deviant sexual fantasies and interests of sexual offenders (and the general population) from a cognitive perspective. I am particularly interested in the processes underlying such fantasies; how they can be assessed using cognitive measures; and whether cognitive techniques used in other clinical domains can be applied to their treatment.
I am also a committee member for psyPAG, where I hold the role as Postgraduate Representative for the Division of Forensic Psychology in the UK. If any postgraduates are interested in promoting forensic psychology research, findings, online studies, conferences/workshops in Britain, then please contact me.
